Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our esteemed cardiac services team at Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to cardiac patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment and Care:
- Conduct thorough assessments of cardiac patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring optimal recovery and patient outcomes.
Surgical Assistance:
- Collaborate with Cardiologists and cardiac surgeons to provide assistance to cardiac patient care.
- Monitor patients closely managing any emergent situations effectively.
Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families on care, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Ensure clear communication regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
Collaborative Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Acute Care or Adult-Gerontology.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
- Previous experience in Cardiology, cardiac surgery or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range: Minimum 81.51 per hour - Maximum 81.51 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
