What You Will Do:
The Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist (Nurse Educator) for Critical Care is an RN who influences the professional role competence and professional growth of nurses in a variety of settings. The NPPDS is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and activities for nursing staff using nursing, adult learning and other theories as appropriate. As an educational advisor and learning facilitator to other nursing professional practice program leaders and staff, the NPPDS serves as a leader, innovator, and change agent in the pursuit of improved nursing practice and professional development.

Who Should Apply:
- Candidates must have a strong clinical background; five years of critical care nursing experience is required; must have leadership skills.
- Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
- Active BLS CPR certification.
- The ideal candidate will have RN experience in an academic teaching hospital and experience in the field of nursing education.
Salary Range: Minimum 46.57 per hour - Maximum 72.18 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
