Position Details:

Patient Care Technicians at Bayview Medical Center have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. The work of this class involves a wide range of patient care duties. PCTs are responsible for functioning as a technical assistant and practice partner with the registered nurse and are responsible for performing routine unit assignments and paraprofessional patient care duties such as taking vital signs, performing electrocardiograms, observing monitors and identifying deviation from normal conditions.

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma.
- Six months of previous experience as a CNA, patient aide, or geriatric nursing assistant, PCT or currently enrolled in a nursing program and has completed basic technician training in nursing.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required.
- Current CPR certification
Salary Range: Minimum 17.37 per hour - Maximum 26.13 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
