The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Meyer 3 Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and Psychiatric Emergency Department is a 22-bed adult psychiatric acute care inpatient unit for patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other severe mental illnesses, including addictions. Many of our patients come from this community; most are admitted through the psychiatry emergency department. You would also staff the psych ED and be oriented to that clinical setting after about a year of progressive leadership in the inpatient setting. Our patients with addictions are often discharged to recovery-focused programs for further addiction treatment, and general psychiatric patients are referred to community psychiatry settings for their aftercare. You would evaluate, assess, and treat this broad range of disorders, including leading therapeutic groups.

Who Should Apply:
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required
- RN experience required
Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire

Salary Range: Minimum 38.49 per hour - Maximum 59.66 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
