Sibley Memorial Hospital is a full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers

General Summary:
- Performs delegated and supervised patient care duties and tasks for patients receiving services from the Rehabilitation Services Department within the legal and ethical guidelines provided by the APTA, AOTA and the DCMR code for physical and occupational therapy.
- Responsible for inventory control, department cleanliness and equipment and environmental safety.
- Prepares maintenance and repair requests and purchase orders for review and approval of Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Experience as a PT or OT Aide preferred. Related volunteer experience and/or training in an acute care or geriatric facility considered in lieu of paid position. Interest or career goal within the professions of rehabilitation (PT, OT, SLP) highly desirable.
- Must be available for weekend and holiday work.
- Must be flexible and able to manage multiple demands.
- Ability to work with adolescent, adult, geriatric, and skilled nursing patients.
- Must be certified in CPR or obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
Schedule:
- Saturdays and Sundays
Salary Range: Minimum 18.75 per hour - Maximum 18.75 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
