Position Summary:
The Retail Rx Specialist II works at an advanced level of proficiency to bill government payors, third-party, patients and Johns Hopkins Programs in an effective, efficient, accurate and timely manner to assure the greatest possible payment in the shortest amount of time for the outpatient pharmacies. Understands reimbursement policies of third party payers, specifically governmental payor guidelines. Works independently researching and solving complex billing and collection issues in a timely manner. Assertive and capable of identifying and resolving problems. Acts as a resource and helps train others. Must have strong customer service skills. Quality of work performed is consistent and can quantify results.

Hours:
Full time (40 hours)
Day Shift, Weekdays
Location: REMOTE
Our organization is registered for remote work in the following states: MD, VA, DC, FL, PA, and DE. To be considered for a remote or hybrid position, relocation is required to one of the registered states if not currently residing in one
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is required upon hire. (Maryland Outpatient pharmacy store locations)
- Two (2) years of pharmacy billing experience.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles
- Knowledge of Billing and Collections practices- specifically Medicare and other government payers.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.29 per hour - Maximum 28.50 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
