Summary:

The Senior Coding Specialist is responsible for coding professional billing (PB) medical records, including ICD Diagnosis, Procedure Codes, and CPT procedure codes for both complex inpatient and outpatient records. This role requires strong technical coding skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.
  • 7 years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience. Pediatric or Neonatal coding – a plus!
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Professional Coding Auditor (CPMA), Certified Procedural Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).

Salary Range: Minimum 22.34 per hour - Maximum 35.75 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
