The Engineering Team Lead will lead a multi-discipline team of engineers to deliver projects, resolve manufacturing technical issues, and support strategic vision of the business at the Ethicon MedTech manufacturing facility in Athens, GA.
The Engineering Team Lead will also act as project manager and provide direct technical support to manufacturing, as needed.
This position will primarily support the Athens manufacturing facility which includes polymerization, extrusion, and absorbable suture processing operations. Job Duties :
- Leads overall engineering activities to meet Ethicon Georgia Campus and Upstream Athens business unit goals and objectives
- Leads team in investigation of manufacturing non-conformances, EH&S incidents, and other process and equipment issues
- Leads engineering projects and supports team in delivery of engineering projects (process validations, capital projects, CAPA, NPI, etc.) on time and within budget.
- Coaches team in development of technical performance metrics and dashboards (yield, process capability, cycle time, OEE, etc.) for assigned manufacturing processes
- Monitors and reports on team progress toward goals
- Collaborates with other plant functions (Mfg.
Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Business Excellence, EHS&S) to define and prioritize engineering project portfolio
Advanced degree (M.S.
or M.B.A.) is preferable.
People leadership experience is preferred.
Project management certification such as PMP or FPX is helpful.
Six Sigma certification is a plus. Key Skills :
