Land Survey Field Technician
Small Civil Engineering & Land Surveying Firm founded in 1986 is looking for a land survey field technician that has a high school diploma and has made good grades in mathematics, including: Algebra, Unified Geometry and Trigonometry. The individual must be in capable physical shape, enjoy working outdoors, possess a valid driver's license, be able to pass a background check and regular drug tests for security clearance, work well with others, have a good work ethic, and have good communication skills. Any past experience in land surveying or experience with AutoCAD software is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities could include but not limited to the following:
- Be able to drive a company vehicle, have a clean driving record with no DUI's or accidents within the past 5 years and have a current/valid driver's license.
- Be able to follow instructions, maintain professional conduct at all times with high integrity, have the ability to work well with co-workers, and be respectful and courteous to all while working in the field and/or office.
- Be proficient in mathematics, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Plane Geometry.
- Be able to meet deadlines, be punctual, work 8-10 hours/day; and meet the physical demands of working outside in various terrain conditions.
Compensation will be determined based on the type of previous job experiences, knowledge and capabilities using the AutoCAD software or previous experience in land surveying, level of education, past job training, as well as previous job evaluations and recommendations from employers and other references.
All applicants should live in close proximity to Huntsville, AL in order to be considered.
