Role Description
We are seeking candidates for three full-time roles – one Associate Attorney supporting our Transportation team, and a two Associate Attorneys working with our Medical Malpractice team. As an Associate, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to providing legal representation and counsel in cases related to medical malpractice, premises liability, general negligence, product liability, and other types of legal disputes. Your work will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents such as motions and briefs, attending hearings, conducting depositions, representing clients in court, participating in client meetings, and collaborating with other legal professionals. Although this role is primarily located in our Chicago office, we also have an opening in our Northern Indiana office. There is also flexibility for some remote work and potential for travel during trials. Experience with Trucking or Transportation Law, Automotive or Worker’s Comp Litigation is a plus. We will train you on Medical Malpractice/Nursing Home litigation.
Qualifications
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, but also contribute as part of a team
Detailed and focused with strong organizational skills
Thorough understanding of and commitment to ethical practice
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to the Illinois and/or Indiana Bar
2-4 years’ experience with litigation or trial practice
Deposition experience is a plus
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
