Hybrid: 3 days in St. Paul office
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards and will support the functions of Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll, with a primary focus on Compensation.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset to ensure our programs remain competitive, cost-effective, and are aligned to organization goals.
Compensation Support
  • Assist in managing and maintaining all sales compensation policies and documentation
  • Support the commercial compensation framework including commissions, incentives, and bonuses to ensure alignment with company goals, while collaborating closely with sales leadership, finance, and HR teams to optimize sales motivation and rewards
  • Help lead the company vehicle reimbursement program
  • Conduct job evaluations and market benchmarking to ensure pay equity and external competitiveness
  • Assist with the annual compensation planning process, including salary reviews, merit increases, bonus allocations, and equity adjustments, ensuring alignment with company objectives, budgetary constraints, and market competitiveness
  • Find opportunities to improve, automate and streamline compensation processes
Total Rewards Analysis
  • Analyze market data and trends to ensure competitiveness of total rewards offerings
  • Prepare detailed reports on total rewards metrics, including compensation trends, benefits utilization, and market competitiveness
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support HR & leadership decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within HRIS and related systems
  • Monitor program effectiveness through metrics and employee feedback
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis of current and proposed programs
  • Track and analyze total rewards utilization data to optimize program offerings
Vendor & Stakeholder Relations
  • Engage in relationships with Total Rewards vendors, brokers, and consultants
  • Partner with HR Business Partners & Talent Acquisition to understand business needs
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting and cost modeling
  • Work with Communications team to develop effective employee communications
  • Advise HR and business leaders on total rewards strategy and market trends
Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Train on payroll process to back up the Payroll Manager as needed
  • Oversee weekly, monthly, and annual reporting requirements and audits
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all programs and policies
Required Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, regulations, and market trends
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with HRIS systems
  • Experience with market benchmarking tools and salary survey platforms
  • Eager to learn and can build successful partnerships with key partners
  • Ability to work independently, take on responsibility and be comfortable in a changing fast paced environment
  • Exercise professional judgement in dealing with sensitive team member & company data
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a multi-state organization is a plus
  • Experience in Workday is highly preferred
  • Experience in Payfactors is preferred
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation is a plus
The expected pay range for this role is $64,300- $107,000.
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity, union status (where applicable) and alignment with market data.
