Job Description:
The Key Account Manager oversees chain headquarters calls and the execution team to maximize business performance. This role builds and maintains strong relationships with key accounts and internal teams, drives long-term brand planning, implements programming, and ensures effective field execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute goals and programming with key accounts to drive sales.
- Collaborate with customers and supplier partners to achieve shared objectives.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews with key account management.
- Engage supplier representatives in marketing and programming initiatives.
- Monitor market conditions and competitive trends within assigned accounts.
- Lead and manage a team of field sales representatives focused on key account execution.
- Oversee category management, including set validation, schematic creation, and new item authorization.
- Address and resolve key client issues and concerns.
- Ensure clear and timely communication between key accounts and internal teams.
- Develop and monitor sales programming to maximize execution.
- Manage the availability of POS materials to support sales programs.
- Organize supplier market visits and coordinate execution strategies.
- Adhere to company and legal industry policies.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across departments to achieve company goals.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong sales execution, team leadership, and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems and work in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel, and data reporting tools.
- 5 years of sales execution experience post-college.
- 2 years of District Manager-level experience in a retail environment preferred.
- Experience in the spirits industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects requiring creativity and strategic thinking.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
