Summary:
Child Life Assistants will work alongside our Child Life Specialists to facilitate play opportunities in the hospital environment. The Child Life Assistant will work under the direction of the Child Life Specialist to provide appropriate diversion/therapeutic activities for groups of pediatric patients (infants through adolescents) and their families. The position will provide comprehensive care base on the principals of growth and development across the life span of patients served. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED. Prefers an associate degree with Child Development courses.
- Must have experience in working with children, preferably in a health care setting or with Child Life Specialists.
