Summary:
Provides support in the areas of employment, retention, compensation, benefits, team member relations and labor relations. The Human Resources Generalist regularly reviews and audits data in the HRIS system to ensure accurate electronic Team Member files and maintains Team Member hard-copy personnel files to comply with agency accreditations. Involvement on Human Resources process improvement teams and other committees is essential. This person assists with all Human Resources functions for all team members of their facility. This position interacts with a wide range of people from the community and from within the hospital. As such, the Human Resources Generalist position requires the ability to demonstrate an outstanding customer-service orientation. Attends training sessions, various meetings, seminars, etc to enhance and maintain current knowledge of general Human Resource issues and compliance regulations. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, labor relations and employment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required. Three years of Human Resources experience preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
Licenses and Certifications:
HRCI (PHR or SPHR) or SHRM certification preferred
