What You'll Do :
Create an Epic Learning Environment : Prepare the lab for students, setting up tools, materials, and equipment. Your expertise will help students get hands-on experience with the real-world skills they need.
Teach & Guide : Share your knowledge and experience with students in Residential Wiring, from basic electrical safety to circuit construction. Be the go-to guide for students mastering the art of residential wiring.
Safety First : Ensure students stay safe while they work with powerful tools and equipment. You'll be the expert overseeing the lab environment, making sure everything runs smoothly and safely.
Assess & Support : Evaluate student projects and provide valuable feedback. Your guidance will help them improve their skills, build confidence, and succeed in their journey to becoming the next generation of skilled electricians.
Maintain the Lab : Keep everything organized - tools, materials, and equipment. After the class ends, you'll ensure the lab is tidied up and ready for the next round of students!
Who We're Looking For :
Do you have an Associate's degree and at least 1-2 years of experience in electrical construction? Do you have a passion for teaching and inspiring students? If so, you might be the perfect fit!
You're a strong communicator with the ability to confidently speak in front of small groups.
You've got experience (or a strong interest) in the skilled trades and want to help students succeed.
You have organization skills and a great eye for detail to ensure everything runs smoothly in the lab.
You're natural at managing people, tools, and materials.
The Details :
Position : Part-Time Electrical Construction Technology Lab Instructor
Schedule : Tuesdays & Thursdays, with both morning and afternoon labs, for the Spring 2025 Semester (January to May)
