Automated Gate Technician

Job Description:

• Installation & troubleshooting of Automated Gate Operators, Access Control, CCTV, Intercom and Electronic security systems. Camera Systems and linking IP Addresses.
• Conduct site surveys, pull wire/cable, terminate & test copper & optical fiber cable and install, program & test electronic security equipment to the highest level of specification.
• Respond to installation and service requests, assess requirements, troubleshoot and interact with customers to advise options.
• Troubleshot complex telecommunications and/or electronic security systems using testing tools and equipment.
• Work with product help desks and Technical Support as needed to repair systems.
• Train customers for effective use of the system.
• Address system related questions and technical challenges from customers.
• Complete all customer and company required paperwork and turn it in at job completion.
• Responsible for on-site safety of self and others.

Skills:

• High voltage and low voltage electrical terminations
• Installing gate operating equipment
• Installing control devices and wiring them up to function properly
• Understand geometry layout of equipment for proper operation
• Cutting/Grinding/Welding/fabrication of parts as needed
• Experience with electronic security (access control, video surveillance, etc.)
• Experience with automatic gate operators (slide, lift, swing, barrier, etc.)

Requirements:

• Working outside or inside in all-weather
• Must be able to lift 75 Lbs.
• Mixing concrete/ building concrete forms/ pouring and finishing concrete
• Able to pass the Department of Criminal Justice Services background check
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Installing gate operating equipment
• Installing control devices and wiring them up to function properly
• Understand geometry layout of equipment for proper operation
• Cutting/Grinding/Welding/fabrication of parts as needed
• Experience with electronic security (access control, video surveillance, etc.)
• Experience with automatic gate operators (slide, lift, swing, barrier, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
