Construction Project Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in construction management, engineering, or a related field and a passion for problem-solving and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, architects, and engineers to resolve technical issues and maintain smooth project flow.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Track and document project progress, including preparing reports, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Support procurement activities by sourcing materials, reviewing supplier proposals, and managing inventory.
- Monitor job site safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial tracking of project expenditures.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure construction work meets required standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential project risks and delays.
- Utilize project management software and tools to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project management preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam), Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Certifications: OSHA 30, PMP, or EIT certification is a plus.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
