Project (Program) Manager- Interiors

The position provides complete responsibility for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of interior design projects within a large metropolitan Atlanta school system.

The Project (Program) Manager- Interiors must have :

• A Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline (Architecture, Interior Design) or equivalent work experience;
• A minimum of ten (10) years managing interior design projects, with at least 5 years in education and public sector;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Design Software (AutoCAD);
• Exceptional organizational, design, and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Project (Program) Manager- Interior Roles and Responsibilities :

Tasks may include the following and other related duties.)

1.     Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

2.     Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other design professionals to ensure alignment with project goals and educational standards.

3.     Conduct site visits to assess project needs, gather measurements, and evaluate existing conditions.

4.     Create and review design concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings.

5.     Select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures that meet functional and aesthetic requirements.

6.     Ensure designs comply with district guidelines, building codes, and safety regulations.

7.     Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs, preferences and priorities.

8.     Present design proposals and gather feedback to refine and finalize project plans.

9.     Maintain clear and effective communication with all project participants.

10.  Oversee the implementation of design projects from inception to completion.

11.  Monitor progress, manage changes, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

12.  Coordinate with procurement teams to source materials and services.

13.  Ensure final installations meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and functionality.

14.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and financial records.

15.  Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and occupants during construction and installation phases.
