What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Superintendent / Estimator position at Johnson Controls International plc?
We are seeking an Electrical Superintendent to join our federal team based at Fort Stewart and the Hunter Army Airfield location near Savannah, GA and the highly desirable Georgia coastline (military experience encouraged, but not required) supporting their energy efficiency and sustainability needs, primarily related to HVAC, HVAC controls, BAS, metering, and utilities systems.

Salary Range : $80,000 - $100,000. Negotiable based on experience
Shift : Salaried role. Primary hours are Monday-Friday, 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm
Benefits : Eligible for benefits on first day of employment
Vacation : 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 10 standard holidays, and 3 floating holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks of paid time off in total)
Travel Required : None, all work is based at these locations.

As a Electrical Superintendent, you will :
- Supervises the electrical field teams assigned projects in accordance with the plans and specifications, to ensure that each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within the budget, and with the quality workmanship expected by the company and the customer
- Supervises, inspects, reviews, records and reports on all site construction related activity ensuring that the assigned subcontractors perform their work on schedule. May supervise one or more projects at the same time.
- Understand and develop means and methods for the construction / installation requirements of the particular project (in conjunction with Project Manager).
- Perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of electrical systems utilizing codes, company procedures, schematics, and / or engineering drawings
- Mentoring of junior electricians and / or helpers
- Assists sales and management with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects, and building cost estimates and scopes of work for assigned projects.
- Performs detailed estimating analysis to quantify cost savings or other cost benefits
- Supervise and coordinate activities of all employees and subcontractors.
- Assist with quality control functions per contract (COE) requirements (submittal reviews, daily reports, preparatory meetings and other quality control program features) to ensure project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements.
- Enforce, facilitate and follow Company and contract safety requirements. Assist with SSHO functions per company standard practices and per contract (COE) requirement if required per the position.
- Schedule and plan work tasks, monitor progress of work with schedule updates (in conjunction with Project Manager)
- Coordinate inspections, verifications, tests, and other contractual requirements with client.
- Participate in regular project / site meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, client representatives and other groups.
- Direct and coordinate subcontractor activities.
