Job duties include:
- Operates and drives sludge hauling vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions and in heavy traffic areas; responds to emergency spills and fluid overflows.
- Operates equipment associated with loading and unloading trucks, including vacuum pumps, transfer pumps, hosing, and valving.
- Performs daily pre-trip inspection; performs light maintenance such as filling fluids and oils, changing bulbs, checking lights, hoses, belts, fluid levels and tires; provides timely and accurate conditions and work progress to supervisors and other staff.
- Compiles and maintains data and information in log books and systems.
- Performs cleaning of vehicles and shop area; coordinates with supervisor for proper vehicle maintenance to be performed; assists treatment staff with routine plant operations tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
High School and Two years of experience driving large trucks are required. Acceptable driving record and CDL with Air brake and Tanker endorsement are required. Must pass background checks.

This position will require the use of personal protective and other safety related tools or protocols in accordance with job functions which may include safety glasses, safety boots, gloves, and other items.
Preferred:
One year of general water or wastewater experience.
