What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Aide position at Johnson Creek Village?
Johnson Creek Village is a holistic memory care assisted living facility located in Dover, NH. We are a unique, developing, 19-bed facility designed to carefully and intentionally support residents’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs based on a holistic approach to dementia care and wellness. Johnson Creek integrates evidence-based memory care in conjunction with alternative therapies including music, pet, and aromatherapy as well as nutrition services focusing on a modified Mediterranean diet.

JCV is seeking dedicated and dependable individuals who enjoy working with the elderly population and who are comfortable with dementia & Alzheimer's related disorders. Our staff strive to work collaboratively as a team and aim to foster an environment of support and growth.
Friday and Saturday hours, 7am-3pm
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain laundry room area & equipment while following pertinent policies and procedures to follow infection control & sanitation practices as well as safety protocols
- Maintaining inventory of laundry supplies and linen – notifying administration when supplies need to be reordered
- Fill and empty laundry equipment in an efficient & timely manner
- Continuously rotate loads of wash to/from washers/dryers to keep up with laundry demands
- Maintain an organized environment while rendering efficient cleaning services
- Distributing clean laundry to linen cart & other storage areas (i.e. kitchen rags to kitchen, mop heads to janitor closets & kitchen, etc) as well as personal clothing to residents’ rooms
- Ensuring that resident’s clothing is properly labeled
- Sort and launder linens, towels, clothing, & other laundry by color, material, & care needs
- Launder items according to best care practices and labeled instructions
- Inspect, sort, & fold dry articles from the dryers – hanging items that need to air-dry and items that are stored in closets
Qualifications:
· Ability to treat residents with dignity, respect, and compassion
· Ability to read, write, and speak English language at average adult level
· Ability to drive or use public transportation to get to work reliably
· Ability to be flexible and adapt to new and/or challenging situations
· Pass a criminal background check prior to employment at JCV.
