• Conduct client intake, develop case strategy, and maintain strong communication throughout the case
• Draft and argue motions (e.g., PC 1538.5, PC 995, Pitchess, etc.)
• Coordinate with investigators, expert witnesses, and service providers
• Negotiate plea deals or diversion alternatives where appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation and case files using case management software

• 2–5 years of criminal defense experience (misdemeanor required, felony preferred)
• Solid courtroom skills — you’re confident handling calendars and arguing motions
• Strong writing and research abilities
• Organized, proactive, and capable of managing a caseload independently
• Emotionally mature, calm under pressure, and respectful with clients from all backgrounds
• Trauma-informed or experience with mental health/addiction-related cases is a plus
• Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive salary commensurate with experience
• Performance-based bonuses
• CLE and professional development reimbursement
• Generous PTO and holidays
• Flexible work schedule (hybrid)
• Potential for long-term growth within the firm
