Under the mentorship of experienced Lab Technicians, your responsibilities and learning objectives will be:
- Develop product test systems and perform validation testing supporting the Engineering Test Lab and Product Engineering Teams in the development, testing, and/or modification of prototype or production parts.
- Plan, coordinate, and perform validation testing (using internal and external resources).
- Typical tests include but not limited to durability, temperature cycling, vibration, and NVH
- Construct test harnesses and circuits for product. Develop and set up fixturing.
- Mount, instrument and connect parts for testing. Develop and program test control and data acquisition systems.
- Collect, summarize, and analyze data. Create test reports (including creating and enhancing report formats) and other technical documents as needed
- Determine test requirements from specifications and product applications, develop and execute test accordingly.
- Build and test prototype electromechanical and electronic products as specified in schematics/blueprints.
- Enrolled or will be enrolled in the related instruction courses required with Schoolcraft College and/or Henry Ford Community College
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Successfully pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
- Ability to lift up to 70lbs
- Ability to stand for 70% of the workday
