What You’ll Be Doing:
- Directing personnel: Overseeing the activities of shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel, developing and maintaining schedules, onboarding new hires, and setting department goals based on company expectations. Evaluating employee performance to ensure the team runs efficiently and providing guidance to make team members more effective.
- Overseeing shipping, receiving, and warehousing of products: Playing an important role in the shipping and receiving processes, directly contributing to warehouse activities during busy periods to ensure a high level of customer service and preventing teams from falling behind during high-order volume periods.
- Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs): Supporting overall performance and efficiency by developing and monitoring KPIs throughout shipping, receiving, and warehousing cycles. Reviewing and revising these KPIs based on factors such as order volume and personnel levels, ensuring teams understand expectations and consistently meet or exceed KPIs.
- Managing inventory levels: Ensuring changes in inventory are promptly and accurately recorded in internal supply chain systems. Conferring with team members and across departments to resolve inventory discrepancies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Team leadership: Effective team leadership skills to motivate, direct, and advise shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Time management: Ability to manage time effectively to ensure customer orders are prepared and shipped accurately and on time.
- Attention to detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure customer orders are prepared and shipped accurately and on time.
- Capability to use material moving equipment: Forklift, electric pallet jacks, standard pallet jack, and two-wheel cart.
