Long Term Substitute Teacher

Johnson Elementary School is looking for a long term Substitute Teacher for our 5th and 6th grade multi age Science and Social Studies classroom. The ideal candidate will have the following: *Have a strong understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards Have a strong understanding of the VT Education Quality Standards *Have success in building a strong classroom community of learners and forming positive relationships with students, teammates and parents *Have experience working in a multi-age classroom *Have positive classroom management techniques *Have experience using formative assessments to drive instruction *Have successful experience working collaboratively with a team of educators *Approach instruction with flexibility, high expectations and creativity *Value parent communication and involvement *Possess the appropriate VT educator license *Bring a positive energy to the school and team *Have knowledge/experience with culturally responsive pedagogy *Responsive classroom, PBIS, Restorative Practices
