JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible for the strategic, spiritual, and administrative leadership of our global short-term, mid-term, and long-term sending.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Manage the process of identifying, developing, and sending mid and long-term missionaries.
  • Manage the process of college student mobilization through summer mid-term trips. 
  • Develop and participate in Team Leader training and discipleship.
  • Project manage short-term mission team mobilization through coordination with team leaders on all pre-trip logistics, ministry plan, financial planning and participant requirements.
  • Direct trip processing assistant on communication with team leaders and participants regarding mission trip requirements as necessary.
  • Develop and implement opportunities for short-term mission teams, focused on international trips.
  • Identify potential global partners among unreached peoples and places. 
  • Lead church-wide prayer strategy focused on global sending and JF missionaries.
  • Participate in the planning and administration of the annual MOVE Missions conference.
  • Travel internationally for the purpose of leading short-term trips, exploring potential partnerships, and missionary care.
  • Provide ongoing communication and support to Uttermost Parts supported partners.
  • Provide input to the budget process as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in all regular staff meetings, functions, retreats, training, etc.
  • Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • College degree required, seminary degree a plus.
  • Experience equipping, sending, and caring for long or mid-term missionaries desired.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting. Sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15-20 pounds at times.
