JOB SUMMARY: The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for project management, website delivery, copywriting, graphic design, and social media content creation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong understanding of digital media, and a passion for serving the church.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Project Management
- Assist in the planning and execution of communication projects, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
- Coordinate with various departments and ministries to gather information and ensure timely communication.
- Maintain project timelines and track progress, providing regular updates to the Senior Director of Communications.
Website Management
- Update and maintain the church website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Manage website content using Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Ensure website functionality and troubleshoot any issues.
- Assist in website design updates and improvements.
Written Content Development
- Develop clear, concise, and engaging content for various communication materials, including website, newsletters, emails, and social media posts.
- Ensure all written content aligns with the church's brand and messaging.
- Proofread and edit Johnson Ferry ministry content for accuracy and consistency.
Graphic Design
- Create graphic designs for social media, website banners, and other communication materials using design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Maintain visual consistency across all communication platforms.
- Adapt and resize graphics for various digital formats.
General Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Attend and participate in all regular ministry staff meetings, monthly church staff meetings, staff retreats, training, etc.
- Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- 2 or more years in communications, marketing, or related field.

- Physically able to work inside and outside in various weather conditions
