JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for daily management and oversight of the Provision Bookstore and Library.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide a warm, welcoming and clean environment for all customers seeking to purchase books & merchandise.
- Establish and build key relationships with vendors to identify items in line with the vision of the Bookstore store.
- Create and maintain systems to determine actions steps regarding existing inventory, including proper displays, pricing, and order processing, etc.
- Collaborate with Communications on effective marketing and advertising opportunities for Provision Café & Bookstore.
- Navigate and understand point of sale system both for internal inventory purposes as well as external customer needs.
- Provide resources that supplement pastor’s sermons and other church-wide activities.
- Create systems to cross-training café team members.
- Develop and manage the Bookstore and Library budget.
- Assist with implementation of all non-book related merchandise to be sold within Bookstore
. - Manage inventory sales, tracking, control and returns through bookstore software program.
- Work alongside Café & Bookstore General Manager to hire, train, lead and manage all Bookstore & Library employees and volunteers.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Attend and participate in all regular staff meetings, functions, retreats, training, etc.
- Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.
- Ability to navigate a flexible schedule that will include some Saturdays and Sundays (or “weekends”)

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- College degree required; Focus on Business and/or design preferred
- Previous experience managing a business, specifically in sales a plus.
- Previous experience with marketing and graphic design a plus as well.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods of standing, pacing, reaching, and repeated tasks.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
