What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Operations/Support Business Analyst position at Johnson Financial Group?
The Bank Operations/ Support Business Analyst works closely with JFG lines of business to identify requirements, operational efficiencies and cost savings, typically leveraging existing JFG technology. Analyzes business requirements and coordinates implementations. Conducts research on an identified situation or opportunity related to technology and plans and proposes solutions, advocates processes, software and/or systems. Ensures that the business standards and requirements are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Specific Responsibilities
- Leads business requirement definition though line of business interviews (asks clarifying questions or through observations; and captures requirements, deadlines and desired outcomes).
- Manages and/or leads varied levels of projects and corporate and lines of business initiatives.
- Designs and implements alternative business process workflow following Change Management methodologies.
- Creates, shares and /or collaborates on recommendations, both for existing and new systems.
- Prepares reports supporting proposed process improvement or risk reduction initiatives leveraging existing or new technologies.
- Supervises execution of approved proposals ensuring testing strategies and implementation plans and risk mitigation strategies are completed and align with appropriate risk tolerance.
- Identifies areas for improvements and technology gaps through business process reviews, informal interactions and observations.
- Acts as a consultant for lines of businesses and liaison between the business units, technology and support teams. Translates business needs, requirements and concepts into recommendations.
- Works with vendor(s) or other business partners to manage the vendor roadmap, researching solutions and managing upgrades or new enhancements. Partners with vendors for contract adherence, service level agreements, invoices, etc.
- Stays abreast of vendor products, client/business needs and industry trends and performs Vendor Management duties.
- Conducts training as necessary.
- Updates and maintains system and procedural documentation.
- May oversee and / or be responsible for the execution / implementation of a new system / process.
- Ability to perform some duties, such as system monitoring, implementations, or changes during nontraditional working hours.
Job Requirements
- 1 - 3 years related experience, High School Diploma required.
- Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
- Excellent verbal, written, technical and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in business analysis/project management.
- Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
- Ability to work with ambiguity.
- Aptitude in understanding workflows and process mapping.
- Leader as well as a team player with ability to foster good working relationships both with Bank Operations and across lines of business.
- To be considered for a Level II or III for this role:
- Level II: experience as an nCino Admin, as well as loan operations and banking systems experience is highly desired
- Level III: experience as an nCino Admin, as well as loan operations and banking systems experience is required
