Summary / objective of position :
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong background in the professional services (investment / wealth management space) to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on training and development, employee relations, interviewing, feedback processes, drafting policies, employee engagement, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and a thorough understanding of HR best practices in a regulated environment.
Essential functions of position :
- Recruitment / Interviewing
Support the recruitment process by reviewing resumes (2nd pass), participating in candidate interviews during the hiring process, 60-day check-in, and 3-month reviews. Obtain quarterly salary data through various sources.
Design, implement, and evaluate training programs to enhance employee skills and performance while making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, facilitating conflict resolution and fostering a positive workplace culture that is consistent with JIC Core Purpose and Values.
Support managers in the performance review process, providing guidance on giving and receiving constructive feedback and goal setting. S.M.A.R.T method.
Draft, revise, and implement handbook policies and procedures that align with organizational goals, foundation, and guiding principles, and that comply with industry regulations. Federal, State, City, etc....
Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, including surveys, focus groups, and recognition programs.
Internally monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Work environment : Temperature controlled, office environment.
Physical demands : Must be able to stand or sit at computer for 8 hours per day. May require extensive typing at times.
