The CP&CO team manages the development and maintenance of agreements with Distributors, Consolidated Service Centers (CSCs), Certified Kit Assemblers, Group Purchasing Organizations, and various other commercial agreements for the MedTech (MT) and Innovative Medicine (IM) sectors in partnership with Strategic Customer Groups (SCGs) and Supply Chain Customer Solutions.
The Team Lead is responsible for supporting the contracting needs (contract development and contract operations) for both MT and IM sectors. They will collaborate closely with key business stakeholders and field staff from the Operating Company (OpCo) to formulate contract strategies, ensuring that both the agreements and the relevant systems accurately represent the intended strategy. The Team Lead will oversee a team of Analysts and identify development opportunities that provide continued growth.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$91,000-$147,200
Additional Description For Pay Transparency
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight to a team of Analysts responsible for the successful implementation and day to day management of MedTech distribution and IM commercial contracts.
- Provide direction to the Analysts and ensure all contract operations activities are completed timely and accurately in accordance with contractual obligations, internal/external audit, SOX, and JJHCS standards.
- Support the performance and development process of direct reports.
- Partner with management and OpCo stakeholders to develop contract documents in support of MT strategies.
- Partner with Sr. Analysts to support contract strategist, develop amendment/notices, and communicate load direction to Analysts.
- Demonstrate a customer service mentality, ability to learn, as well as demonstrate effective communication skills with an ability to make the complex simple.
- Support key departmental projects by utilizing business knowledge, systems, good decision-making skills and project management skills.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including OpCo and field personnel, to provide a high level of customer service.
- Transfer knowledge within the department, across departments and to Operating Companies, while understanding the impact of actions on processes across multiple business partners.
- Understand the entire contracting continuum and demonstrate contracting skills when discussing new contract strategies that allow identification of up/down stream operational impact.
- Troubleshoot problems of various complexities with limited supervision and demonstrate high levels of analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to understand systems and processes.
- Additional duties include supporting ad hoc projects, conducting account analyses, validating system loads, and other related tasks.
Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree required.

Experience and Skills:
- Minimum four (4) years total overall business experience is required.
- Experience collaborating and supporting multiple business franchises across sectors is required.
- Proven ability to handle conflicting priorities while meeting/exceeding deadlines is required.
- Experience with or a strong understanding of all phases of the contract continuum and business processes is required.
- Experience with contract analytics (legal and business terms), data analytics, and presenting to leadership is required.
- Proven ability to build and support strong, positive relationships with business partners is required.
- Project management experience/skills is required.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
- Minimum of two (2) years in contracting and/or experience developing, negotiating, and/or redlining contracts within the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
- Master’s degree, MBA or advance certification is preferred.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and/or people management is preferred.
- Experience with JJHCS contracting systems (ICS/CORE/MDM) a plus.
- This role will be based in Raritan and may require up to 10% domestic travel.
