The District Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, coaching, developing, and leading a team of Territory Managers (TM) and Key Account Leaders (KAL). Develops strategies and implement tactics across the local healthcare market and within the district that enables Janssen Pulmonary Hypertension to meet customer and business needs. This position will assist management in crafting appropriate marketing and field management tools focused on both specialty and internal medicine marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, mentorship, and customer product expertise. Meets or exceeds established sales goals through the implementation of sales activities
- Interacts frequently with Sales Training, Managed Markets, Product Managers, Access Team, and Medical Science Liaisons; manage relationships across LHM team members
- Collaborates on development and implementation of local sales strategies and tactics
- Leads opinion leader development and management to deliver high quality results to build the business
- Directs district in successful launch of new products and/or new product indications, as needed
- Handles profit and loss, including budget, forecast and allocation of resources for the district
- Works with the Business Director in developing and coordinating POA meetings
Required
- BA/BS required
- 10 years of field sales experience in the pharmaceuticals industry of which five years involve specialty sales in cardiovascular, rheumatologic and/or pulmonary disease states. Equivalent combination of advanced degree and relevant industry experience may be considered
- Valid Driver’s license
- Approximate travel up to 50-70% of the time
Preferred
- Expert knowledge and experience in hospital sales
- Deep understanding of managed markets
- Previous experience in handling issues and challenges in the specialty marketplaces to generate mutually beneficial, long-term opportunities and influencing/negotiating positive outcomes
- Prior management experience
- Resides in the assigned geography of the position
- Experience working with products distributed by specialty pharmacies
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $131,000 to $226,550.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. ·
