Shockwave Medical, Inc., recently acquired by Johnson & Johnson, is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.
Position Overview
The FP&A Manager plays a key role in planning, analysis, reporting, and strategy to support our rapidly growing organization. This individual will collaborate with the FP&A team and key stakeholders across the organization, taking responsibility for implementing and driving process improvements, delivering value-added business analysis, and defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that facilitate insightful business decision-making.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage and coordinate the development of annual and recurring forecasts, focusing on the underlying business drivers, key financial, and operational metrics to align with long-term objectives
- Own the global financials and planning calendar, clearly communicating timelines, deliverables, and expectations to all planning stakeholders
- Identify gaps in existing planning and forecasting processes, develop solutions to address those gaps, and drive greater integration and standardization across planning teams
- Partner with key stakeholders across the organization, including the FP&A team and Accounting, to provide narrative insights on current and expected future performance
- Support the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results and deliverables for the Executive team and Corporate J&J team
- Collaborate with the FP&A system administrator on the implementation and use of forecasting tools to ensure system parity
- Provide analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making support for ad-hoc and special projects
