Description :
The Communications Specialist assists with maintaining consistent branding and concept development for all external and internal Sales and Marketing communications. This includes Constant Contact Email Blasts, Industry Magazine Advertisements, Product Information Material, Sales reporting, Social Media, and any other projects which enhance J&J’s ability to communicate with our Partners.
In addition, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining all Marketing Collateral in an organized system which allows all J&J employees and our customers access to the materials with “on demand” ease of doing business. This position can delegate to Communications Associate as needed.
Job Responsibilities :
- J&J Branding
o Work with CMO, Marketing Services Manager, Senior Communications Specialist to develop and maintain the overall J&J branding, logo requirements, and consistency in all communications
o Constant Contact Email Blasts
Creates weekly email blasts via Constant Contact website –
Maintains request forms, calendar
Maintains contact lists, deletes or adds contacts based on requests from Marketing or Partner Agencies
Create graphics for website for office closures or other important updates
Coordinating meetings with LT to develop content
Must be available to work after hours or on weekends during Hurricane Season to create and send Moratorium updates
o Industry Magazine Advertisements
Works with Marketing VP’s to create ads for Associations or other Industry magazines
Must create graphics, add content and follow certain layouts
Must submit before deadlines as outlined by Association
o Product Information Sheets
Must create, update and maintain per requests from J&J Marketing Team, J&J Leadership Team
Must keep organized, stored and accessible through SharePoint Program
o Targeted Mailing Lists – development and maintenance of all lists
Agencies, Companies, Associations, Other
Scheduling of all communications materials
o Digital vs Print Media
Work with team to review and develop plan for best use of digital vs print media
o Reporting to Leadership Team for all communications metrics :
Open Rate, Read Rate, Delete Rate, etc
Full set of metrics to be established
o Creating and scheduling content
o Maintains awareness on social media trends and growth opportunities
Education and Work Experience :
Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a Related Field
Work / Internship Experience
Designed marketing materials using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Developed branding assets, including logos, style guides, and templates
Managed multiple projects with strict deadlines
Assisted with social media graphics, contributing to a successful campaign launch
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.)
Typography, Branding
o Example :
Adobe Certified Professional (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Motion Graphics Design with After Effects (Online Course / Certifying Body)
