Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manager, Market Research – Integrated Analytics located in Titusville, NJ.
The Manager, Market Research is responsible for generating, integrating and translating insights and analytics into actionable recommendations, shaping decision-making, and driving organizational action within the Vaccines business. This position will focus on the COVID-19 vaccine as well as prepare for other vaccines in development.
This position will partner closely with cross functional partners to drive insight identification and customer-centric decision-making, and serve as an internal consultant to the marketing and sales teams. This position plays a key role in advising and counseling business partners in the development of new and existing business strategies and as a result, shares accountability for business results. This role will lead all HCP, patient and payer market research activities for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of primary research plan for key vaccines stakeholders (Purchaser, HCP, Patient, Pharmacy) including developmental research (e.g. segmentation, tracking studies, etc.) and evaluative research (brand positioning, advertising & promotional copy, creative development, etc.).
- Lead design of an overall market research plan to address brand and or franchise strategic imperatives, identify appropriate supplier partners, foster strong partnerships in the context of resources, timing and overall project goals.
- Be accountable for conducting research activities in a compliant manner.
- Integrate primary research insights with analytical insights to build a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the market place and key business issues, and translate these into business impact.
- Provide strategic input to help shape business plans, brand strategies and tactical execution.
- Proactively identify key business questions/issues and frame business problems into research plans.
- Apply basic consulting skills, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, translation to value, and oral and written presentation for impact.
- Take personal accountability for making Credo-based decisions and fostering a Credo-based culture.
Qualifications
- BA/BS required; Advanced degree desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years of business experience in market research, business intelligence, marketing, business analytics, strategic planning, management consulting and/or related healthcare experience.
- Proven success partnering across the commercial organization to translate market research and insights into actionable recommendations
- Experience shaping and influencing organizational decision-making
- Strength in storytelling and developing effective presentations
- High degree of intellectual curiosity
- Strong learning agility and proven success solving ambiguous business issues
- Proficiency with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- This position may require up to 20% travel
Preferred:
- Vaccines business experience
- Proficiency with Tableau
