Description : Position Overview :
This position reviews, analyzes, and inspects insurance contracts. They also collect competitive data and analyze our program’s place within the market.
Job Responsibilities :
- Analyze inspection reports, location, risk, credit reports, etc to accept or reject new property and casualty business.
- Performs agency visits and makes outgoing calls to solicit feedback on our service standards, our competition, and to build a professional relationship with our agents.
- Achieve mutually agreed upon sales goals
- Comprehend and maintain underwriting manuals for all companies represented
- Attends company conventions
- Must be able to attend after hours business meetings
- Comfortable discussing team goals and actively participating in achieving these goals
- Maintain minimum company education requirements
- Adhere to company-wide minimum service standards
- Knowledge of the independent agency system and economics - assess the capacity of market, territory and individual agencies to identify and act on growth opportunities
- Must be able to travel a minimum of 3 days a month
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners.
- Demonstrate accountability for the assigned territory by being innovative and identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in results
- Applies flexibility when solving Underwriting problems
- Pursue education to enhance industry knowledge
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
