The Strategic Account Manager has individual responsibility for delivering sales goals for a portfolio of Headquarter-controlled accounts and strategically guides relationship across multiple customer teams ensuring work meets quality standards and customer business objectives. Shared responsibility for delivery of US Financial goals including topline sales, bottom line income, market share and individual responsibility for managing investments to budget and maximizing return on account investments (ROI).
The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
This position is eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.
Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

The Strategic Account Manager has individual responsibility for delivering sales goals for a portfolio of Headquarter-controlled accounts and strategically guides relationship across multiple customer teams ensuring work meets quality standards and customer business objectives. - Understand Account details including strategy, structure, level of category focus, growth rates (category and JJV) and share (JJV and competition)
- Demonstrate an understanding of industry and emerging trends, anticipate customer needs, marketplace evolution and opportunities
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of customer stakeholders and establish trust & build rapport
- Develop and execute effective stakeholder engagement plans
- Partner with field sales organization to align strategic account planning efforts
- Negotiate successfully and build effective negotiation plans
- Understand the concept of and the tools used to develop a Strategic Account Joint Business Plan (JBP)
- Effectively position the JBP as a benefit to the customer
- Use Insights and deep customer knowledge to shape joint priorities and influence for support of JJV category solutions
- Effectively gather and analyze essential account data
- Demonstrate expertise in applying Strategic Selling processes
- Develop and identify new Markets opportunities at the Headquarter level
- Effectively apply product and technical knowledge, economic factors, and total value proposition to influence product and promotional decisions.
- Apply category insights to Pursue growth-driving initiatives based upon on-going category insights
- Strategically manage portfolio of products groups through trade partnership
- Understand each phase of the patient journey and find actionable insights
- Create and implement strategies to drive consumption and retention
- Skilled in the digital and e-commerce space; able to connect JJV digital capabilities with customer e-commerce capabilities to shape and deliver joint connected commerce (omnichannel) goals and objectives
- Effectively communicate across a variety of stakeholders and contexts
- Be timely and responsive to the needs of stakeholders

- Maintain high attention to awareness of detail, meet timelines deadlines and compliance standards

- Demonstrate an understanding of product pricing dynamics and apply to contracting
- Minimum of a BA/BS degree in a business-related field is required, MBA desirable.
- Minimum 5 years sales or marketing experience is required.
- Management experience preferred.
- Strategic Account Management experience preferred.
- Up to 40 - 50% overnight travel is required.
- A valid driver's license issued in the United States is required.

- Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
- Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
- Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
