JMT's Construction Management Team is seeking a Coatings Inspector for water / wastewater, Department of Transportation, and municipal projects. The successful candidate will apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing activities during and after construction for quality, general safety, and conformance to plans, specifications, and codes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Gather and maintain record documents
- Make field notes and computations
- Document daily ambient conditions (temperature, humidity, wind, etc.) during abrasive blasting and coating application
- Check surface preparation using equipment and / or referenced standards
- Verify profile depth and levels of salt contamination on the surface
- Inspect the application of coatings (procedures, mixing, thickness) using test instruments and compare with the manufacturer’s data sheets and project specifications

Must successfully complete and pass JMT's Motor Vehicle screening
Working Conditions
Work is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat / cold, wet / humid, and dry / arid conditions. Work may be performed at night. Ability to climb required.
