Johnson's Wrecker Service, Inc. is hiring Full Time Light Duty Wrecker Drivers for the NIGHT SHIFT (Salary Varies Depending on Position and Experience)

Overview:

Drive and operate a light duty wrecker, vehicles, golf carts, and/or machinery. Loading, unloading, and transport of vehicles, passengers, cargo, trailers, equipment, materials, machinery, and/or non-vehicular items such as road debris, bicycles, or any other item(s) to be relocated by request or for emergency situations.

Details:

Communicate professionally and effectively with law enforcement, customers, dispatch, and team members / Inspect assigned fleet to ensure all mechanical and safety equipment is in good working order / Independently and safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions; checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned and secured for transportation / Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources with verifying instructions and routes / Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, damage to property or vehicles / Secure cargo using, but not limited to, of ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers / Obtain receipts or signatures upon delivery and collect payment for services when required

Requirements:

· Must be able to work outside in all types of weather elements, including but not limited to, heat, cold, rain, wind, and hail

· Lifting, pushing, pulling (60 lbs. ), bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, balancing, sitting or standing for long periods of time

· Must obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card

· Possess a valid State of Florida Driver’s License with minimal violations on driving record (some points acceptable)

· Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical

· Clean, well-groomed appearance

· Ability to calculate basic math functions

· Use of good judgment skills with regard to safety & customer service

Salary and Benefits: We offer flexible scheduling with a competitive starting wage of $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. We also offer a range of benefits including Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, EAP, 401k, AD&D, Life Insurance, and more.
