Basic Function
Under supervision, process screen products to meet the requirements of the customer.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run machines to produce wire according to the specifications on the work order.
- Ensure quality of the wire being produced by checking wire throughout the process i.e. beginning, during and after production run. Make adjustments accordingly.
- Properly label and store completed wire that is ready for screen production by Heat #, P.O. & Batch #.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks on all scheduled tools and equipment on-time.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to make efficiencies in the work area.
- Understand and comply with all HSE, Compliance and other Company Policies.
- Must know Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and technical procedures and work instructions as it applies to the position.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager within the physical constraints of the position.
Qualifications
- 2 years of manufacturing experience working with production equipment
- High School Education required, 2 yr. Vocational degree preferred
- Ability to work as a team or independently.
- Possess a positive attitude
- Ability to differentiate between various types of wire size, material type, etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints.
- Ability to do basic math i.e. add/subtract whole numbers, decimals & fractions.
- Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc. with accuracy.
- Ability to make decisions independently with limited supervision.
