Branch Warehouse/Delivery Driver

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all orders being correct and shipped on time with 100%

accuracy,

· Responsible for pulling product with 100% accuracy,

· Responsible for documenting transfers shipped to other locations,

· Responsible for tracking products coming in and out of branch such as transfers, PO’s, deliveries, and bill of ladings

· Responsible for knowing the required DOT/FMCSR for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle,

· Responsible for the required vehicle inspections

· Documenting and communicating any vehicle safety concern immediately with your Manager or Regional Manager,

· Responsible for making safe deliveries as needed,

· Loading and unloading vehicle

· Must maintain a safe driving record to carryout the duties of this position,

· Assist with inventory of store products (cycle counts)

· Help with maintaining store appearance,

· Must be willing to perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

· High school diploma or GED equivalent

· A clear valid Texas driver’s license (must be insurable under the company insurance requirements)

· Commercial vehicle driving experience (2-3 years minimum preferred).

· Good communication skills,

· Ability to priorities with good time management ability,

· Must be able to communicate in English both written and oral, (Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus)

· Must be able to perform basic math skills, calculate weights and measures,

· Must have basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn and understand computer duties,

· Must pass a criminal background check,

· Must have a safe driving record that will be evaluated annually to determine eligibility for driving a commercial vehicle to fulfill your job duties,

· Must be able to maintain a safe work environment according to the safety guidelines of Johnson Supply and other local, state, or federal requirements,

· Must pass a DOT physical (and as required for maintaining CMV driving certification, and a Non-DOT drug screen and breath alcohol test.

· Must be able to pass a driving road test evaluation upon hire and before solo driving a Johnson Supply CMV, and again every 2 years or as needed for safety evaluation.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

This job requires the full use of vision and hearing, agility, and the ability to walk, climb stairs, carry, lift, push and pull up to 50lbs on a regular basis. The ability to stand, stoop, sit, squat, flex arms, fingers, legs, and feet with a full range of motion, to bend, and crouch while performing the duties and responsibilities of this position.

The working conditions for this job will be in a warehouse setting and may expose you to cold, hot, dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions. You will also be driving a commercial motor vehicle (loaded or empty) on public roads, and highways under various weather conditions
