Johnson & Webbert, LLP, seeks an attorney with six or more years or more of litigation experience in employment and civil rights law, with a willingness to become licensed in Maine. Johnson & Webbert is the leading workers' rights and civil-rights law firm in Northern New England; we have a 30-year track record of prosecuting precedent-setting cases in the public interest, including class and collective actions and constitutional claims. Our primary offices are in Topsham and Portland, Maine, but we have a national practice with major cases in North Carolina, D.C., New York, Massachusetts, and elsewhere. We offer a hybrid working arrangement, with two days in the office.

Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals
- Conduct legal research and analysis to advise clients on legal matters
- Draft legal pleadings and briefs
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Advocate for clients' interests during negotiations and litigation
- Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to highest ethical standards
