Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and a passion for creating high-quality cabinetry. The Cabinet Maker will collaborate with designers and other tradespeople to ensure that each project is completed to the highest standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Assemble cabinet components using various woodworking techniques, ensuring precision and quality.
- Utilize tools and equipment such as saws, drills, and sanders to cut, shape, and finish materials.
- Perform frame carpentry tasks as needed, including the installation of cabinets in residential or commercial settings.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site, including those involved in plastering, siding, and construction painting.
- Ensure all work is plumb and level, adhering to industry standards for quality and safety.
- Participate in restoration projects, applying skills in the restoration industry to repair or refurbish existing cabinetry.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for effective project execution.
- Strong skills in assembly techniques for cabinetry, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Knowledge of plastering methods and siding installation as they relate to cabinetry work.
- Experience in frame carpentry and metal stud framing is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques to finish cabinetry appropriately.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship in all aspects of cabinet making.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople while maintaining effective communication throughout projects.
