Summary
Boost is a comprehensive program designed to help students complete their academic journey to the Associate’s degree within three years by providing participants with a clearly mapped program of study and comprehensive academic advisement and career support services. The Boost Success Coach is a member of an integrated college team providing individual academic and personal support to an assigned
group of community college students as they progress through the program and reports to the Director of Boost.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Strong understanding of the needs of community college students;
•Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
•Demonstrated ability to work well with faculty and administrators;
•Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed;
•Strong organization, project management and facilitation skills;
•Ability to enter, monitor and interpret student data accurately;
Education Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate discipline
Education Preferred: Master’s Degree
Experience Minimum: Two (2) years academic advisement experience
Language Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Access and Excel); and aptitude to learn new systems as needed.

- Delivers comprehensive advisement support services to an assigned group of students through degree completion;
- Reviews student progress and tracks student use of academic support services;
- Co-develops success plans with students and empower them to understand their degree requirements.
- Develops and implements proactive outreach services focused on retention and student success.
- Conducts regular outreach to faculty and other college staff as needed to support student success;
- Maintains accurate tracking data and notes for each assigned student, recommending appropriate referrals and opportunity programs;
- Supports annual recruitment of new students into the program;
- Organizes periodic special events and programs for students, faculty and staff;
- May conduct or support delivery of student seminars on issues of importance to students; and,
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
