WORK HOURS : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30-11 : 30.m.
JOB SUMMARY : Provides administrative support to the JCSD Ellipsis program and serves as a direct liaison between the State of Iowa Department of Health and Human Services and Juvenile Court System to coordinate student services for residential students of the Ellipsis school program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years administrative experience
- Experience with Macintosh / PC computer format including Google and Microsoft Suite applications
- Infinite-Campus experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates with Ellipsis staff, Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, and State of Iowa personnel regarding student informationCoordinates enrollment for students entering, returning or leaving the Ellipsis program by accurately completing transition paperwork, processing transcripts, and maintaining records for residential studentsCoordinates with comprehensive buildings regarding transportation, records, and communication involving residential studentsServes as a liaison between principal, staff, students and publicOTHER FUNCTIONS
Manages absence management and time clock systems for Ellipsis staffProvides direction and support to substitute staffEnters and maintains student data in Infinite CampusMaintains inventory and order general office and school suppliesEnsures all purchases are ordered, received and reconciled according to district guidelinesMaintains positive and effective communication with school district personnel and Ellipsis staff and studentsComposes administrative correspondence and completes reportsMaintains records of communicationsAssists teachers and staff with preparation of instructional materialsParticipates in professional growth opportunities related to positionCompletes required trainingPerforms general office tasks and routinesPerforms other duties and responsibilities as may be assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
