SUMMARY: The site manager at Johnston Companies is responsible for providing on-site customer service and inventory management, contributing to the company's overall mission. This role is based 100% at the customer service facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promptly perform all tasks assigned by the Program Manager such as loading vending machines, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, deliveries, and receiving and storage of merchandise.
  • Responsible for all customer billing reports. Make sure that the customer receives all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as required. Make sure all billing files are created and delivered to IT as requested.
  • Responsible for all reports that are required by the Program Manager. Provide a weekly recap report to the Program Manager and the Branch Manager.
  • Develop knowledge of our products, their uses, and locations.
  • Check and count items in containers and verify accurate count of incoming or outgoing materials and merchandise.
  • Keep Program Manager informed of shortages, overloads, or damaged merchandise, and any customer complaints
  • Operate a forklift or other equipment in picking orders, stocking shelves, or unloading trucks.
  • Assist in taking annual physical or periodic inventory, including cycle counts.
  • Operate company-owned and leased vehicles safely while delivering merchandise to and from customers and suppliers.
  • Follow assigned schedule in making timely deliveries to customers.
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and report on any dangerous situations, fire hazards, or malfunctions of equipment.
  • Handle hazardous materials in a safe and prudent manner, in accordance with MSDS practice.
  • Observe safety regulations and wear safety attire when required.
  • Follow proper procedures and company policy in reporting accidents.
  • Maintain neat personal appearance, and remain courteous and service-minded when dealing with customers.
  • Perform any other tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Program Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma. Substantial practical knowledge and experience in the warehousing or similar field may also be acceptable.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Warehousing or Stock Management Field.
  • Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A current class C license and a clean driving record.
  • The physical requirements may be stressful. Body movements of walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers. Must possess keen sight and hearing and have full power of the English language.
  • Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • Must have excellent understanding of business math calculations, and understand record-keeping techniques as they relate to materials and logistics.
  • Highly organized and an ability to work with minimal supervision.
