About the Role: Join the Johnston and Murphy retail operations team at our corporate office in Nashville! As a Retail Operations and Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing store projects and data/metric management. This position involves coordinating with various departments and partners to ensure the successful execution of store-related projects and providing essential support to field personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Data/Metric Management:
- Monitor payroll and ensure accuracy.
- Review and communicate department budget and expenses.
- Collaborate with Training to create content for training sessions.
- Engage with other departments regarding data outputs from current systems and identify actionable data for store projects, including remodels, openings, and closures.
- Respond to field inquiries about Workforce Management, payroll, traffic, and sales metrics.
- Monitor and report store sales, schedules, hours, and payroll.
- Communicate field sales reporting to leadership regularly.
- Lead system administration for Work Force Management (StoreForce), ensuring it runs effectively and accurately for J&M stores.
- Manage data analytics portals and dashboards and report on a day-to-day basis for corporate and field.
- Play a key role in sales and payroll planning for each fiscal year.
- Manage Workforce Management (WFM) data, including input/output of labor modeling and budgets (sales and hours).
- Communicate suggested payroll coverage decisions using WFM data and tools, including during holidays and deviations, while monitoring productivity.
- Work directly with users to gather requirements and translate them into reports for various departments.
- Serve as an expert within the division for report building within IBM, Cognos, and Planning Analytics (PAX).
- Utilize skills or develop a continuous improvement mentality to stay current with reporting tools and advancements in applicable technologies.
- Create and manage ad-hoc reporting for the VP Stores
Education/Experience:
- Retail store leadership experience preferred.
- Associate’s degree or relevant work experience preferred.
Requirements:

- Proficiency in Excel
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects.

Work Schedule:
- Hybrid role with a 7 AM start time.
- Monday mandatory in-office.
- Flexible for once-a-month Sunday work with Friday off on month-end weeks.
