The assistant baseball coach will support the head coach in managing the baseball team by teaching players, organizing practices, and analyzing performance. They also assist players in improving their skills and fostering a culture of positive sportsmanship. ****This position is Head Coach to the JV team**** Assists the Head Baseball coach with instructing players on the rules, regulations, equipment,and techniques of the sport. Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed bythe head Baseball coach.Assesses players skills monitor players during competition and practice and keep thehead Baseball coach informed of the athletic performance of students.Assists with determining game strategy.Assists the head Baseball coach with supervising athletes during practices and competitions.Follows established procedures in the event of an athletes injury.
Models sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials,and spectators. Maintains the equipment room in orderly condition and assumes responsibility for itssecurity.Distributes equipment, supplies, and uniforms to students as directed by the head coach.Assists the head Baseball coach with submitting a list of award winners at the end of theseason. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
