Johnstone Supply is looking for a leader with a passion for driving sales and building high-performing teams. This individual will inspire a culture of excellence in a fast-paced environment. Join our team as an Area Director in HVAC Wholesale.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Area Director include, but are not limited to:

Sales & Business Development
  • Drive sales initiatives to expand market share and customer base
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, vendors, and industry partners
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing quality service delivery
Leadership & Team Management
  • Directly supervise and mentor branch managers across the area
  • Develop and retain top talent, ensuring alignment with company culture and goals
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to enhance productivity
Strategic Planning
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Analyze market trends and computer activities to identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership to align regional goals with organizational objectives
Client Relationship Management
  • Track and analyze sales metrics to evaluate team effectiveness
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates to upper leadership
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Problem-solving and Decision-making
  • Resolve operational promptly and efficiently
  • Assist the Branch Manager in making informed decisions regarding branch operations
Operational Oversight
  • Monitor and optimize branch performance, including inventory management, pricing strategies, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards
  • Oversee budgets, financial forecasting, and reporting for the area
Communication & Collaboration
  • Partner with marketing and product development to ensure alignment in achieving regional sales goals
  • Share insights and feedback from customers and the regional market to help shape customer engagement strategies

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field
  • 7 years of experience in HVAC wholesale, distribution, or similar industry
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead collaborative initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, organized and results-driven
  • Willingness to travel as required

Preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM software and lead-generation tools
  • Strong background/understanding of the branch operations and logistics.
  • Basic understanding of the company’s industry and target markets
  • HVAC industry knowledge
