What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Johnstone Supply, The Balsan Group?
Johnstone Supply is looking for an individual who is passionate about driving and delivering excellent customer service. As a a parts driver and warehouse member you play a crucial role in ensuring customers receive their orders promptly and accurately.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Driver/Warehouse include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure deliveries are made promptly while adhering to traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself, others, and the materials being delivered
- Load and unload goods onto the delivery vehicle ensuring they are properly secured to prevent damage during transit
- Receive products into the computer system and put them away promptly
- Inspect products for damages, and shortages and complete the appropriate documentation
- Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency
- Follow company policies/procedures regarding deliveries, safety and any other relevant guidelines
- Communicate with the team any updates and or issues that may arise
- Ability to handle the physical stamina necessary to perform the duties of this role including lifting and carrying heavy items and spending long hours driving
- Ability to work overnight as required to meet delivery demands and deadlines

Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prior experience operating a 26' box truck with a lift gate
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred
- DOT required
- Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift, and carry items up to 75 pounds in the warehouse
- Clean driving record with a valid driver's license
- Hazmat endorsement preferred
